Mission

 

WISE aims at developing a support system for both ordinary and special education and training of homebound people temporarily or permanently affected by various types of disabilities.


The support activity combines informative, formative and relational aspects and points in four main directions:

1. the implementation of an informative and cognitive space for projects, experiences, organizations and groups that operate in the field, as well as for initiative procedures (formative strategies, local and national policies) and for available resources and services;

2. the assistance and training to support methododologies and design of fresh educational resources (materials, formative initiatives) for specific situations or of educational systems and services for homebound people;

3. the implementation of a point where demand and formative and professional offer meet in order to favour the reintegration of the homebound adults into work;

4. the implementation of a reference and exchange area both for professionals in the field of homebound education and training and for the final users of the project.


WISE is a three-year project and will be concluded by June 2012.
